Class

AttributeElement (engine/view)

@ckeditor/ckeditor5-engine/src/view/attributeelement

class

Attributes are elements which define document presentation. They are mostly elements like <b> or <span>. Attributes can be broken and merged by the view writer.

Editing engine does not define fixed HTML DTD. This is why the type of the Element need to be defined by the feature developer. Creating an element you should use ContainerElement class or AttributeElement.

Filtering

Properties

  • childCount : Number

    readonly inherited

    Number of element's children.

  • document : Document | null

    readonly inherited

View document that owns this node, or null if the node is inside document fragment.

  • id

    readonly

Element identifier. If set, it is used by isSimilar, and then two elements are considered similar if, and only if they have the same id.

  • index : Number | null

    readonly inherited

Index of the node in the parent element or null if the node has no parent.

Accessing this property throws an error if this node's parent element does not contain it. This means that view tree got broken.

  • isEmpty : Boolean

    readonly inherited

Is true if there are no nodes inside this element, false otherwise.

  • name : String

    readonly inherited

    Name of the element.

  • priority

    readonly

Element priority. Decides in what order elements are wrapped by Writer.

  • root : Node | DocumentFragment

    protected

Keeps all the attribute elements that have the same ids and still exist in the view tree.

This property is managed by Writer.

  • _customProperties

    protected inherited

Map of custom properties. Custom properties can be added to element instance, will be cloned but not rendered into DOM.

  • _id : String | Number

    protected

Element identifier. If set, it is used by isSimilar, and then two elements are considered similar if, and only if they have the same _id.

  • _priority : Number

    protected

Element priority. Decides in what order elements are wrapped by Writer.
